The Chess Club was launched on 1st February 2001 with the endorsement of the Principal, Cikgu Moksin Bin Hj. Omar. Student response has been encouraging. Chess players turn up every Thursday afternoon to enjoy the game, learn new skills, and to have sparring matches. |

The club aims to build up the members' practical and analytical skills in chess and to select the better and more serious players to form the school team that will participate in the inter-school competitions.
